This exhibition consists mainly of paintings that emphasise basic qualities.  A painting is a three-dimensional object of a certain size, shape and colour, made of paint and other materials.  Paint can be seen as a physical substance, a coloured surface, or an image of something else.  Different ways of seeing can be used to subvert each other conceptually and perceptually.
